Lightning strikes twice, GPU#01

Time to hook the first GPU up onto the motherboard but first I have placed Akasa thermal adhesive tape (AK-TT12-80) on the temperature probes to secure them in place.

This tape is just a normal double sided sticky tape but it lets heat trough and is strong bonding, so it is ideal for mounting heat sinks and temperature probes and you can easy cut it in to any size (even very small strips). First take a good look on were to place it and if the size you have cut is correct, for once you use it it wont come off easy.

Just cut out little strips, and secure them in place on the temperature probes.

Now secure the other side on the video card and push them slightly, once in place they wont come off again, and the tape will let the heat trough, for secure temperature monitoring.

And as always, cards like these need to be handled with respect so I throw the normal screws away and secure the three card screw holes in style, my style o:)

Now it is only a matter of putting in the two PCI-E 8-pin connectors for the power, and the beast is ready to be awakend!
