All good things come in pairs

Next to the ASUS Thunderbolt will the second video card be placed just like the same procedure earlier. Again with a temperature sensor on the same spot, and the two 8-pin PCI-E power cables.


After the beast is secured in place, the SLI bridge hooks the two cards together.


The ASUS Rampage III Black Edition has four PCI-E slots to put video cards in, and four PCI-E on/off switches to give the slots power. In this system I only used two PCI-E slots where the video cards are in, so I only give those two slots power by flipping the same switches as where the cards are in ON. This way the motherboard gives a full load of power only to the slots that are used and so increases stability.
